How to Become a Volunteer

How to become a volunteer in 7 simple steps:

Step 1: Look at the opportunities to see where you would like to help.

Step 2: Complete the online application form.

Step 3: Obtain a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC).

Step 4: Send us a copy of your approved Police Vulnerable Sector Check.

Step 5: We match you to a school.

Step 6: The School Volunteer Coordinator contacts you for an interview.

Step 7: If your interview is successful, a Volunteer Agreement form is signed by you and the teacher confirming your schedule and volunteer commitment.

NOTE: A Police Vulnerable Sector Check is required. All volunteer candidates must have lived in Canada for a minimum of two years.

The online registration process takes about 15 minutes.

Before you start, you will need the names and contact information for two personal references, one of whom may be a family member.

After you complete the application form, you will receive an automatic confirmation email with instructions on how to get your Police Vulnerable Sector Check and instructions for Steps 3-7.
