Read & Write Google Assistive Technology April 3rd

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board coaches Jordan Knarr and Chelsea Dykens are hosting a training session for volunteers who will be supporting students with language learning disabilities and/or English language learners (including Syrian newcomers) using Read & Write Google in the classroom. Autism Spectrum Disorder April 24th

An OCDSB autism spectrum disorder specialist will be facilitating a support group and information session for volunteers supporting students on the spectrum in OCDSB schools. The goal of the workshop is to give you knowledge, skills and tools to support your students. Bring your questions and share your experiences: this is an interactive workshop. How to Use Math Manipulatives in Elementary Schools

OCDSB Math Coaches Stephanie Bishop, Ann Chevier, and Karli Bergquist are hosting a workshop for volunteers assisting students in elementary math in OCDSB schools. The workshop will focus on how to use math manipulatives (number rods, base ten blocks, etc.) to help prepare you to support math students (elementary grades and newcomer high schoolers) by offering sage advice and hands-on training.
