Julianna Banana, an Ottawa small business and mom and daughter duo, aims to inspire kids and families to get baking, cooking, and creating in the kitchen all while learning about food, having fun, and gaining an appreciation for the importance of community and giving back. They provide culinary experiences for kids and families, combining the fun of a class with a collection of kid friendly recipe cards, kitchen tools, and science activities in their Julianna Banana Culinary Boxes. For those interested in just signing on to a class, they can register separately for any of their regularly scheduled classes hosted by kid friendly, professionally trained staff.
We’re pleased to announce that this summer a portion of Julianna Banana Culinary Boxes for Kids and Julianna Banana Classes will be donated to ONFE!
Julianna Banana experiences are offered as one-time packages, or as a subscription. Culinary Boxes also come with complimentary classes where junior chefs learn in live interactive online classes how to make some of the recipes showcased in each of the Culinary Boxes. Classes are taught by trained graduates of Le Cordon Bleu of Ottawa.
The fundraising partnership with ONFE comes from a fundamental pillar of Julianna Banana: to support local businesses and to give back to the community. Materials in the Culinary Boxes, including kitchen tools and accessories, are sourced from local vendors whenever possible. Recipe cards are designed and printed in Ottawa and aprons are made and printed in Canada.
Join Julianna Banana for classic recipes like homemade pasta, fancy finger food, and summer treats including homemade donuts, pretty cake pops, and macarons – with classes taught by professional, kid-friendly hosts!
