Thanks to a three-year grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, JA Ottawa is growing!

This grant will allow JA Ottawa to offer more financial literacy programs in French and English. JA Economics for Success is an empowering one-day program that introduces grade 8 students to the concepts of financial literacy, challenges them to reflect on their personal goals, and emphasizes the advantage of staying in school to achieve long-term success. Students participate in hands-on activities such as developing personal and professional goals, preparing a personal budget, role playing various networking and interview scenarios, and learning about career choices.

This grant will help students develop skills and knowledge to achieve greater financial independence and will have an impact on the lives of 5,967 youth in the community over three years. To learn more or get involved with JA, please visit: onfe-rope.ca/our-work/ja-ottawa

The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is an agency of the Government of Ontario, and one of Canada’s leading granting foundations. OTF awarded more than $120 million to some 700 projects last year to build healthy and vibrant communities in Ontario.
