The Ottawa Carleton District School Board will be running a pilot of a volunteer-based elementary (grade 2) literacy intervention program in the new school year September-December 2018 and January-March 2019. This is a unique opportunity to help a child learn to read. We can’t run it without volunteers. Your time is appreciated.
We are looking for volunteers to act as volunteer coordinators and several volunteers to work with students at Roberta Bondar Public School in September 2018. Two volunteer coordinators and 4 volunteers.
Strong English communication skills are required for these positions.
A commitment of 1 hour twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) after school is mandatory.
