JA Company Program inspires high school students to create an enterprise of their own. Over the course of the program, students experience how a small enterprise functions by collaborating with peers and volunteer Business Advisors to design, organize and operate a real business.
As a volunteer Business Advisor you facilitate the JA Company program and act as a mentor and resource to the students. JA Ottawa provides volunteer Business Advisors with extensive training and all program materials as well as ongoing support.
Commitment – 1 day per week | after school | 3 hours | 15 weeks
Students meet once a week to create and operate their business. These programs are fully facilitated by a team of 2-4 volunteer Business Advisors. These volunteers do not need to attend each week, but can create a schedule to ensure that 2 volunteers are present each week.
Fall 2018: programs begin the week of September 24th.
For more information, contact Albert Wong, Director, JA Ottawa at email@example.com
Address: Ottawa, ON, Canada
*Requires a recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC). Instructions on how to get a PVSC will be emailed to you after you apply online.
