Ottawa Network for Education announces Heather Norris as new President and CEO
Following an extensive search, I am pleased to announce that the Board of Directors has appointed Heather Norris as the new President and CEO of the Ottawa Network for Education. Heather is leaving her current position as CEO of Northumberland United Way to return to her hometown of Ottawa and will join ONFE April 1st.
With 20 years of experience in the healthcare and non-profit sectors, Heather brings expertise in operations management, fundraising, government relations, human resources and volunteer management, board governance and public speaking to this role. She holds a Master of Philanthropy and Non-profit Leadership Degree from Carleton University.
Heather’s high energy and experience working with leaders across the public, private and non-profit sectors will be a welcome addition to ONFE. Heather looks forward to building on the incredible foundation in place at the Ottawa Network for Education and leading the organization to future success.
Kathy McKinlay retires from ONFE on March 31st to spend more time with her family and friends, to travel, and to pursue other volunteer and work interests. We wish her continued health, happiness and adventure in this next phase of her life.
Sincerely,
Rob White
Chair, Board of Directors
Ottawa Network for Education
We here in Cobourg Ontario have been blessed by Heather Norris in so many ways. I for one will be sad to see her leave our community. However, she is highly deserving of her new position, especially in her home town. I would like to wish her all the very best in her new position, knowing that she will be a dynamic leader!!
